  • Ben Chestnut is the co-founder of MailChimp, an email marketing service launched in 2001. MailChimp has grown to over 45,000 global clients who manage over 77 million subscribers and deliver over 5 million email campaigns a day. MailChimp's clients include Mozilla, New Riders Publishing, and the University of Georgia.

    Chesnutt shared his tips, tricks, and best practices on how to design and code HTML email marketing campaigns, how to scientifically analyze and optimize for maximum impact, how to work around spam filters, email gateways and ISPs, and how not to get yourself and your department blacklisted for spamming. He covered the technical aspects of emails campaigns, best practices for managing lists, and common mistakes to avoid.
