Financial Support - Fellowships

Presidential Graduate Fellows Program
The Presidential Graduate Fellows Program was established to aid in the recruiting of exceptional candidates to doctoral programs across the University. The awards are multi-year offers with a minimum annual stipend of $20,000. Departments nominate students for this competitive fellowship, and awards are merit-based. Nominees are expected to have a minimal score of 5000 from the following formula:

     Score = (GPA x 1000) + GRE (verbal + quantitative); or

     Score = (GPA x 1000) + 800 x GMAT (% Verbal + % Quantitative)

Nominations are submitted to the Graduate School on February 1st. In addition to being engaged in assistantship duties and graduate studies on a full-time basis (12 months), the recipients are expected to participate in professional development activities.

The Alvin B. Biscoe Fellowship
The Biscoe Fellowship is awarded annually to two outstanding entering doctoral students in the Terry College of Business. The amount of this award varies each year. Departments nominate students for this competitive fellowship, and awards are merit-based.

The Edward T. Comer Fellowship
Comer Fellowships of $2,000 per year for three years are awarded to incoming and first-year Ph.D. students on a competitive basis. Students are nominated by their departments for this non-service fellowship and selection is merit-based. In addition, each department awards a one-year Comer Fellowship of $2,000 annually to a student selected by the department.
