International Student Life is responsible for coordinating UGA’s international student orientation program each semester.

The fall 2011 orientation will be from August 1 – August 5, 2011 this year. Check–in for students will begin at 10 AM on Monday, August 1, in 210 Memorial Hall.

They offer information that is not covered in other orientation sessions on campus including immigration regulations, Social Security Numbers, temporary and permanent housing support, banking in the US, driving in the US, health insurance, all campus libraries, tours of the Health Center, Ramsey, personal safety and legal matters in the US, cross cultural adjustment, and much more. The program fee for students will be $10 for the entire week. Temporary housing will have a separate fee that will be determined later this spring based on housing availability.
