Print Production Service Level Agreements
Make your request as early as possible—and always before you have your content ready—and your project will be placed on the production schedule. Here is a list of production times for most jobs. Think of "production time" as the amount of time it takes to complete a project from the point we receive full and complete content to the delivery date from the printer. Included in this estimate is the printing time, which can require two to four weeks depending on the job.
Examples of items we can complete within one week:
- Certificates
Examples of items we can complete within two weeks:
- Notebook covers
- Simple ads
Examples of requests that could require four to eight weeks production time:
- Postcards
- Complex ads
- Newsletters
- Brochures
- Invitations
Examples of requests that could require eight weeks or more production time:
- Annual reports
- Viewbooks
- Complex brochures
Complex and new projects especially require extensive planning time, which should take place pre-production. When this planning doesn't happen, it can double the production time.
Ways to help us work faster
- Provide requests electronically: But hard copy corrections to works in progress are preferred.
- Provide complete materials at deadline: All copy and images (including photographs and logos) should be turned in by content deadline for design work to begin.
The Terry Design Team will respond to print requests within two business days.
