Research Support
The Terry College of Business maintains licenses for several business-specific research applications and data sources. Terry College faculty, doctoral students, and staff may request access to these resources.
In addition to college-specific resources, faculty and sponsored students may wish to explore the Terry Undergraduate Research Subject Pool as well as general UGA Research Resources.

EDGAR Database
EDGAR—the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system—performs automated collection, validation, indexing, acceptance, and forwarding of submissions by companies and others who are required by law to file forms with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
DirectEDGAR, a tool to access EDGAR data, is available at the Terry College of Business. To access DirectEDGAR, contact Terry OIT. Please review the DirectEDGAR site for more information on this tool.
Thomson Reuters Guidance Datafeed
To replace the discontinued Thomson Reuters First Call Historical Database (FCHD) which is no longer available in WRDS (as of 2/2012), Terry College has purchased the Thomson Reuters Guidance Datafeed (PDF | 121.8 KB), a feed that offers quantitative (numeric) company expectations from press releases and transcripts of corporate events with First Call and I/B/E/S earnings forecasts. To access the Thomson Reuters Guidance Datafeed, contact Terry OIT. Once granted access to the network folder, please review the "Thomson Reuters Guidance Over Datafeeds User Guide — July 2009" PDF document for more information on data features, file layout, and codes.
SDC Platinum and Other Data Services
In addition, Terry College subscribes to SDC Platinum: Global New Issues / Mergers & Acquisitions (Request Installation). The UGA Libraries unit also houses over 50 business and economic databases for academic research and instruction. Browse by subject, or click on the alphabetical list link, from the Business and Economics Research Databases page.

- Technical support for research projects, including encrypted data transport and extensive technical consultation
- Consulting on configuration and purchase of high-end workstations for heavy numerical computing
- Creation and management of Terry Undergraduate Research Subject Pool site
For more information on custom consulting, contact Jim Metcalf.
