Computer Setup Request PageTerry Helpdesk policies and procedures are aligned with the University of Georgia's Computer Security and Ethics regulations, which can be found at http://www.uga.edu/~compsec/. It is recommended that all computer users review these University policies, including those for Computer Ethics at Georgia, which can be found at http://www.uga.edu/~compsec/summary.html. Is a MyID (Arches) account required to complete this online process? Yes. To use this online request process, you must have a MyID account for the person requesting an account or computer setup. If the user is a new hire and doesn't have a MyID account yet, go to https://www.arches.uga.edu/myid/ and create the MyID account. Once the MyID account has been created, please return to this page to complete the automated request process. Do I need the UGA control number to submit a computer setup request? Yes. For computer setup requests, the computer must be on campus and tagged with a UGA control number. Please call Property Control at 706.542.6988 to request identification tags for new equipment or to replace missing tags. We will not service untagged equipment. How will I know that the Help Desk gets this request? Completed forms are entered into the system and processed in the order they are received.
