The MBA Programs at the Terry College of Business have been ranked in Military Times’ Best for Vets: Business Schools 2015 rankings.

Terry’s programs ranked at No. 40 of the top 75 programs in the nation, reflecting the school’s increased commitment to serving military veterans.

“We value the leadership skills veterans bring to our program, and help them in both building on these skills and leveraging them in the private sector,” said Santanu Chatterjee, head of the Full-Time MBA Program and associate professor of economics. “Our program is well-resourced to assist veterans in transitioning to a business career or to help actively serving students develop new skills they can apply in their military careers.”

In addition being Military Times’ highest-ranked program in the state of Georgia, Terry’s MBA Programs have the distinction of enrolling more veteran students than any other program on campus, said Ted Barco, director of UGA’s Student Veterans Resource Center.

“This recognition is the latest example of UGA’s increasing commitment to student veterans and military personnel,” Barco said. “In addition to providing an exceptionally strong veteran-friendly learning environment, the college partners with the university’s Student Veterans Resource Center to sponsor MBA students as graduate assistants in the center and to engage faculty, staff and graduate student mentors who ensure that our diverse undergraduates are career ready.  Integrated partnerships, like the one with Terry, reinforce the vision that that it takes a community to address the needs of our returning soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines and is a contributing factor to UGA’s continued distinction as a:  Best for Vets University by Military Times; Military Friendly University by GI Jobs; and as a Top College and University by Military Advanced Education magazine.”

Military Times is comprised of the publications Army Times, Navy Times, Air Force Times and Marine Corps Times. The third annual Best for Vets: Business School rankings come from a survey focused on culture and curriculum that cater to military veterans.
