Terry’s MBA program moves up in U.S. News and World Report rankings

The MBA program at the Terry College of Business continues to rank among the best in the nation, according to U.S. News and World Report’s 2014 edition of America’s Best Graduate Schools.

Terry climbed to No. 52 among MBA programs nationwide, up five spots from 57th. The rise is due, in part, to the almost 90 percent job-placement rate for Terry MBA students within three months of graduation.

“The resources Terry has focused on career opportunities for our MBA’s continue to pay dividends,” said Terry College Dean Robert T. Sumichrast. “This higher ranking is the result of the improved success our graduates have with starting their careers throughout the country.”

In addition, two of Terry’s MBA specialty programs were ranked. The Information Systems specialization placed 19th (13th among public schools), and the Accounting specialization ranked 24th (9th among public schools). Overall, the Terry College ranked 27th among public business schools.

The rankings and their methodology are available online at http://grad-schools.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-graduate-schools. Highlights of the graduate school rankings will be published in the Best Graduate Schools 2014 Edition, available April 9.
