Terry Executive Programs staff members Mike Jenkins and Tobi Lovelace were recently interviewed on The Dana Barrett Show about the ins and outs of executive education.

Jenkins, the senior associate director of Terry's Executive Programs, and Lovelace, a program manager, talked to the Atlanta radio host about executive education and how it differs from degree programs. They also discussed options for both custom and open enrollment programs at Terry's Buckhead and Gwinnett campuses.

"In Buckhead, we offer a couple of conferences and symposiums," Jenkins said. "We also offer open enrollment classes that you can sign up for on our website. We have individual and small-group classes. And we also create custom programs for our clients."

"An MBA is a great degree to have to further your career. The college offers an Executive MBA in Buckhead and a Professional MBA in Buckhead and Gwinnett. Those are typically an 18-month to 2-year commitment. They usually range from $50,000 to $75,000," Jenkins said.

"On the other hand, if you need to increase leadership or other specific skills and cannot commit the time and money to an MBA, we have classes ranging from one day to a week or more at very affordable pricing.  We also offer industry certification programs in Project Management, Certified Financial Planner, and Lean Six Sigma."

Lovelace spoke about custom programs.

"We ask 'What do you want? What do you need? Let us build that for you,'" she said. "We don't go in and just say 'We offer X, Y and Z and you can choose from these packages.' We really utilize our Terry faculty and bring in practitioners."

The entire show is streaming online. The executive education conversation begins around 14:15.
