Charles B. Knapp, interim dean of the Terry College, was named one of the "100 Most Influential Georgians" by Georgia Trend.
The annual list isn't ranked, but culled from "the state’s most powerful and influential citizens who affect the lives and livelihoods of all Georgians."
It says of Knapp: "President Emeritus of the University of Georgia, he leads the state’s newly reconstituted independent charter school authorizing agency. The SCSC rules on petitions for state charter schools and can authorize charters denied by local school boards. An economist and educator, he is the interim dean of UGA’s Terry College of Business and was president of The Aspen Institute."
