Legal Studies professor Marisa Pagnattaro, was quoted in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution article about workplaces monitoring their employees by digital means.

Some employee handbooks or policies say that employers have the right to conduct certain types of monitoring of employees. That makes it less likely that monitoring could be considered an invasion or privacy, Pagnattaro said.

"In general, there's not a lot of privacy in the workplace in the United States," she said.
