Three Terry College marketing faculty — Sundar Bharadwaj, Son K. Lam and Caglar Irmak — have been recognized among the Top 50 marketing scholars worldwide in research productivity in American Marketing Association journals by DocSig, a special interest group of the AMA.
DocSIG tracks publications according to authorship and university affiliation, and publishes Top 50 Lists on an annual basis. The current list is for scholarship published from 2009–2013.
“We have an outstanding marketing department, and I am delighted to see these faculty members’ research achievements, as well as the that of the overall department, recognized,” said Charlotte Mason, head of the marketing department and holder of the Terry Chair of Business Administration. “Furthermore, the UGA marketing department is among a very small set with multiple faculty members on the list.”
In the most recent rankings, Bharadwaj, the Coca-Cola Company Chair of Marketing, and Lam are tied at No. 8 among in research productivity in premier AMA journals (the Journal of Marketing and the Journal of Marketing Research). In addition, Lam, Bharadwaj and Irmak all ranked 49th in research productivity in premiere marketing journals, which also includes the Journal of Consumer Research and Marketing Science.
As a school, Terry tied for 27th in University Research Productivity in the Premier AMA Journals over the same time period.
