University of Georgia Music Business Program to Offer Berklee College of Music Online Courses
Boston, MA, December 2006 -- Berkleemusic, the online extension school of Boston's renowned Berklee College of Music, has partnered with the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business as the newest member of their Partnership Learning Program. This new relationship empowers UGA to broaden the reach of their music business program by offering Berklee's online curriculum and access to Berklee's esteemed faculty to students not able to participate directly in UGA's Music Business Program.
"The music business today is constantly changing. Those who will succeed need the cutting edge knowledge provided by the in-depth online courses that Berklee College of Music offers," explained Bruce Burch, Administrative Director, UGA Music Business Program. "It is a privilege to be working with Georgia native and Berklee President Roger Brown and his staff in this strategic alliance between our institutions."
The Partnership Learning Program enables UGA to offer Berkleemusic's catalog of specialized online courses in music business, songwriting, music production and technology. The New England Association of School and Colleges (NEASC) accredits all of Berkleemusic's courses and certificate programs which are accepted at partner institutions.
"We're thrilled to be working with UGA," added Debbie Cavalier, Dean of Berklee's Continuing Education division. "This partnership provides UGA with a great opportunity to further their program by providing our online music business courses to students who are unable to attend UGA's music business program."
Berkleemusic's winter term begins on January 8th. Visit their website to learn more about their interactive online courses.
