“The Power of the Human Touch”
A savvy marketer and enterprising business leader, Susan founded McWhorter Driscoll, LLC, in 1997, along with her business partner and husband Mark "Dill" Driscoll. As the enterprise has grown, Susan has maintained responsibility for all financial planning and management of the companies that comprise the holding company. Since its inception and under her fiscal stewardship, McWhorter Driscoll has founded and/or added several properties to its holdings, including: ignition Abroad, the parent company for ignition's international offices and MacGolf, a nationwide amateur golf tour. Susan is co-founder of ignition and CEO of its creative arm, ignition Studios.
Her marketing career began immediately after receiving her Master of Marketing Research degree from The University of Georgia when she joined The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta. Susan spent ten years in the Coca-Cola system amassing numerous successes: she led the commercialization team of the 20 oz. plastic Coca-Cola Contour bottle for Coca-Cola USA, was named one of Ad Age's top 100 marketers in 1994 and directed the marketing for the Coca-Cola sponsorship of the 1996 Olympic Torch Relay. This last project served as the stepping stone to her current involvement in unique grass roots marketing programs throughout the world.
She continues to hone her considerable marketing skills through hands on management, community outreach marketing programs, and through her involvement as a board member of Worldspan, an international motorsports ministry. Most recently she has ventured into the world of motorsports marketing as a race team owner and is exploring new business opportunities and development for the collective companies of McWhorter Driscoll.
