Kirby Smart, Head Football Coach, University of Georgia speaks at Terry Third Thursday

Kirby Smart (BBA ’98) officially came home to Georgia on Dec. 6, 2015. Prior to becoming UGA’s head football coach, he served on the Alabama football staff for nine years. A former standout defensive back and scholar-athlete at Georgia, Smart has also worked as a coach with the Miami Dolphins, LSU Tigers, Florida State Seminoles and Valdosta State Blazers.

A four-time member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll, Smart received a degree in finance from the Terry College and a M.S. in physical education from Florida State University. A native of Bainbridge, he is married to the former Mary Beth Lycett of McDonough. They are the proud parents of twins Weston and Julia, and son Andrew.
