Elisha Finney is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Varian Medical Systems, a $3 billion corporation that is the world leader in integrated cancer therapy systems. She oversees a staff of 400 people worldwide, and her management responsibilities include corporate accounting, corporate communications and investor relations, internal financial and compliance audit, risk management, tax and treasury, and corporate information systems.
Prior to joining Varian, Finney worked for the Fox Group in California and for Beatrice Foods in Chicago. Along with her bachelor's degree in risk management and insurance from the Terry College of Business, she also has an MBA from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, where she received the 1992 “Outstanding Graduate of the Master's Programs in Finance” award. Elisha served on the board of directors of Laserscope from 2005-06, when the company was sold to American Medical Systems. She also served on the board of Thoratec from 2007-13. She has served on the board of the Altera Corporation since 2011.
Elisha lives in Hillsborough, Calif., with her husband Bob, who has two degrees from Terry, and their two sons.
