Assistantship stipends in a minimum amount of $6,000 are available and awarded based on merit. This stipend includes a tuition waiver.

Tuition

Current tuition rates can be found on the UGA Bursar's Office website. Under the Student Sites section in the left navigation, select Tuition & Fee Schedules. Choose your desired semester & location. Next, select "Graduates" to view current tuition costs—the MMR Program is not listed as a seperate program, but MMR tuition is the same as general graduate student tuition.

Assistantship

The assistantship requires that students work approximately ten hours per week under the faculty member. Past assistantships with faculty members have included research opportunities and positions with the Coca-Cola Center (webmaster, newsletter editor).

Athens, GA cost of living

The cost of living in Athens is very reasonable. The UGA Office of Student Financial Aid estimates living expenses for a graduate student living off-campus to be approximately $11,500 for the Fall and Spring terms.
