Founding Contributors
Mike Anderson (1997) graduated from the MMR program in 1997. After graduation he joined Convergys Corp. where he maintained several positions, eventually becoming the director of customer relationship management. In 2003 he joined dunnhumbyUSA as an account director.
Rob Arnett (1982) began his career at M/A/R/C as an account executive and was eventually promoted to senior vice president in the Greensboro office. He later moved to SDR Consulting in 2000 where he is currently a managing partner and co-owner of the company.
Adrian Bing-Zaremba * (1993) began an internship with Johnson &Johnson/Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals after graduation and remained there for three years before transferring to McNeil Consumer Pharmaceuticals as the marketing research manager for Tylenol. He left for two years to pursue global opportunities with the Campbell Soup Company where he coordinated research in Europe, Asia and Latin America. In 1999 he returned to Johnson & Johnson and he now works in pharmaceutical marketing research and leads the CNS Franchise of Janssen Pharmaceutical.
Paula Bryan (1996) began her career in 1996 at Johnson & Johnson/Merck Consumer Pharmaceuticals in Fort Washington, PA. From there she moved to the state of Washington in 1998 to work for Microsoft where she has performed advertising research for the corporate image campaigns as well as Microsoft's other eight strategic brands.
Andrea Burns (2003) graduated from the MMR program in 2003 and started her career as an intern at MMR Research Associates in Atlanta. She has stayed on as a senior project manager and also serves as support personnel for the MMR Alumni Association, managing both the alumni database and website.
Rob Cartwright (1999) started at Sprint PCS, then worked on supplier side at MarketFacts and comScore Networks before getting his MBA at Kellogg, Northwestern University. He currently works in global research at Coca-Cola. Jonna Cartwright (1999) worked for Hall and Partners for a few years after her MMR internship at Hallmark. She currently works for the Wrigley Confectionary Company.
Mike Courtney (1996) received his MMR degree in 1996. He is currently the principal of Market Research Insight.
Bill Denk * (1982) began his 18-year stint with the M/A/R/C Research organization in Chicago. While in Chicago he became associate manager in 1985 and Vice President in 1987. He then moved to the M/A/R/C office in Dallas in 1991, then to the Atlanta office in 1995 and was promoted to senior vice president in 1998. In March 2000, Bill joined AIM Technologies in Austin, Texas as chief research officer. He later returned to Atlanta where he joined MMR Research Associates as a senior partner in 2001.
Susan Driscoll * (1986) began her career at The Coca-Cola Company where she spent 10 years developing her marketing experience on five continents in over thirty countries. In 1997, Susan and her husband Mark founded McWhorter Driscoll LLC, where she is currently responsible for all brand strategy development and applications.
Tish Grote (2004) received her MMR degree in 2004 and is currently working at Directions Research.
Ajay Gupta (1997) joined Federal Express in July 1997 as a Senior Market Research Analyst and became a marketing research advisor one year later. He joined Bank One Card Services in March 1999 as a senior market research manager. From there, he was promoted to group market research manager in September 2001 and then became senior group research manager in November 2003.

Susan Hayes * (1988) received her MMR degree in 1988 and then worked for Kraft Foods in Deerfield, Illinois.
Will Hecht * (1994) received his MMR degree in 1994 and then worked for Del Monte Foods in San Francisco, California.
Mark Jones * (1984) received his MMR degree in 1984 and started his career at McNeil Consumer Products in Philadelphia, PA. From there he moved to Englewood Cliffs, NJ where he worked for Lipton Tea Company. In 1989 he moved back to Atlanta to work for Booth Research before founding MMR Research Associates, Inc. in 1999.

Carley Metsker (2000) received her MMR degree in 2000 and since then has been working for Directions Research in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Chris Murphy (1991) has an extensive background in marketing research. He has held several positions including executive director and vice president of brand strategy and market sciences/research at Verizon Communications (formerly GTE) and senior-level positions with M/A/R/C Research and US West. Chris currently lives in Nashville where he is a senior vice president with Millward Brown.
Bruce Olson * (1993) landed a position with M/A/R/C Research in Dallas in 1993 in marketing sciences and new product development. He later joined The Coca-Cola Company where he spent 6.5 years in various positions supporting global research and planning. In 2003 he joined MMR Research Associates, Inc.
Melissa and Thomas Pfeil * (1996)
Shekhar Sattiraju (2001) joined Bayer Pharmaceuticals as an intern in 2001. He later moved to Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals where he is currently working as a senior marketing research analyst.
Alec Schendzelos (1997) joined Directions Research, Inc. as a research analyst in 1997. He has served as an on-site account manager, account associate, account executive, and senior account executive. In 2003 he established the southeastern client service office for Directions Research in Charleston, South Carolina.
Manju Sudhakaran (2003) started her career as an intern at Mead Johnson Nutritionals/Bristol Myers Squibb. She then took a graduate associate position at the Walt Disney Company. Currently Manju is working as a senior research analyst for Millward Brown in Chicago.
Ben Tolchinsky (2004) worked for MMR Research Associates in Atlanta as project director for 3 years before joining the MMR program and is now working at Burke Inc.
Bob and Kate Van Dam * (1997) met as MMR classmates. Since the MMR program, Bob has worked on the client side at FedEx, Ocean Spray, SciQuest.com and the supplier side at Knowledge Networks and his current position as senior vice president in the Advertising &Brand Performance division at TNS. Kate worked for American Express in Manhattan and then began her account planning career in 1998 at Archer Malmo and then Arnold Worldwide. She and her business partner Marilyn Monturio (MMR alum '97) are now consulting for several large advertising companies through their company - A2B Planning.
Jeff Walters * (1983) has built brands and businesses large and small in roles ranging from assistant AE at M/A/R/C Research in 1983 to founder/entrepreneur, consultant, president, CMO, and board director. As a result, two of the companies he co-founded are now leaders in marketing with data. One is known for its strengths in business analysis and creative, while the other combines vertical industry marketing solutions with a cloud computing platform for intelligent multichannel marketing.
Marc White (1993) received his MMR degree in 1993. After graduation he joined Drugstore in Washington and later moved to Astra Zeneca LP where he is currently working as director of Consumer Insight.
