Staff and Faculty
Dr. Archie B. Carroll is the current Director of the Non-Profit Program. Appointed in the Fall of 2000, Dr. Carroll succeeded Dr. James Lahiff who followed the program's founding Director, Prof. Jerry Horton. Instructional staff of the Non-Profit program consists of four faculty who lead the seminar sessions. The four faculty are: Dr. Allen Amason, Associate Professor of Management in the Terry College of Business. He is an expert on strategic management and top management teams. He teaches the session on the Roles and Responsibilities of the Board. Dr. Ann Buchholtz, Associate Professor of Management in the Terry College of Business. Her areas of specialization include strategic management and organizational governance. She teaches the popular, and ever-important fundraising session. Dr. Archie Carroll, Robert W. Scherer Chair of Management Emeritus in the Terry College of Business. His areas of expertise include strategic management, business ethics, and business-and-society relationships. He is Director of the program and teaches the session on Strategic Planning. Dr. Melenie Lankau, Associate Professor of Management in the Terry College of Business. Dr. Lankau teaches the session of Managing Volunteers: Recruitment, Motivation, and Retention. MBA students work as assistants coordinating the Seminars, Workshops and Volunteer Dawgs: Collier McRae serves as coordinator of the Board Member Seminars. He is a first-year student in the Terry College of Business, University of Georgia. Danielle Duclos serves as coordinator of the Volunteer Dawgs. Danielle is a graduate of The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, and she has various experiences in working with non profits. |
