A true leader knows not only how to lead, but how to serve others as well. As such, the Certificate Program encourages and promotes community service to all of its students.

Through the Certificate Program, students learn that visions can and do become reality. With advisement and encouragement from ILA professors, students are able to develop and implement community service projects through class service learning projects and ILA Student sponsored community service activities like Habitat for Humanity and the Athens Food Bank pictured at right.

Recently the certificate students assisted the After-School Academy at Fowler Drive Elementary with spring planting, loaded food at the Athens Food Bank, made cards for Odyssey Healthcare of Athens, and helped the Winning Water Festival at Athens Technical College.
