Undergraduate Certificate in Leaderdship


The Certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership is co-sponsored by the Terry College of Business and the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. Soon the Grady College of Journalism will recognize these courses as a minor in leadership. Leaders are self-directed and motivated. Being proactive is the key to achieving success in the Certificate Program. ILA gives students the tools and the knowledge to make a difference and be a part of a

In keeping with that goal, current students pursuing the certificate have created L.E.A.D. as their acronym. L.E.A.D. students pursue leadership, education, and development at all times!


Features of the Program

  • Find out what leadership means in today's environment
  • Attend advanced and innovative classes on leadership
  • Contribute to an unwavering commitment to community service
  • Learn from practicing leaders through ILA's speaker series
  • Build camaraderie through team-building and social activities

Requirements of the Program

  • Students are required to have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2
  • An application for admission must be completed online.
  • Commitment to enroll in 2 Leadership Courses (ILAD4100 & ILAD5100) and the Personal Career Management Seminar (ILAD5000) as well as 3 approved electives.

Applications will be accepted online beginning December 1 annually. The deadline for applications for next year's Certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership is:
