Eligibility

To apply for admission the LLSP, a student must:

• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2.
• Have class standing as a rising junior and be admissible to the Terry College by the fall semester following selection.
• Note that the LLSP is designed exclusively for Terry College undergraduates.

Selection Process

The process involves two rounds:

• Evaluation of applications, which are completed online.
• Interviews of finalists.

We typically select 60 finalists for interviews. Based on both the application and interview, we admit 30 students to the new class. The new class of Leonard Scholars is usually announced over spring break. The selection process will weigh your:

• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Willingness to engage in a challenging process of self-discovery and development of leadership capability in the servant-leader mold.
• Academic accomplishments.

If admitted, you must attend an orientation session in April and sign a contract that defines your formal commitment to the program. We will also hold an information session for prospective applicants in January in the North Tower of the SLC. The application will be online December 1 and the deadline for completing it is January 31.
