  • Annual Maximum Impact National Leadership Conference & Simulcast: Advance

The Terry College of Business and the Institute for Leadership Advancement are pleased to host the annual "Maximum Impact: Advance" leadership conference. This LIVE, in-person leadership event will be held in Gwinnett County, Georgia on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Lunch 12:00 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.). Unprecedented in scope, this program brings to Atlanta captains of industry and leadership experts. This premiere leadership development program has featured well-known and accomplished speakers/panelists such as:

    • John C. Maxwell is an internationally recognized leadership expert, speaker, and author who has sold over 13 million books. His organizations have trained more than 2 million leaders worldwide.
    • Patrick Lencioni is the author of five best-selling books, including The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, which has sold more than a million copies during the past five years.
    • Bill Taylor is a provocative and inspiring voice on the future of business - an agenda-setting writer, speaker, and entrepreneur who has shaped the global conversation about the best ways to compete, innovate, and succeed.
    • Kevin Carroll is the author of the highly successful Rules of The Red Rubber Ball and is also the founder of The Katalyst Consultancy, where his "job" is to nurture and care for the individual and communal inner spirit and inspire new ways of thinking.
    • Andy Stanley - Recognized as a top influential leader for pastors, Andy Stanley is senior pastor of one of the fastest growing ministries in the country, North Point Ministries.
    • Spencer Tillman as an All-American running back for the Oklahoma University Sooners, Spencer was fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting in 1983, the captain of the 1985 national championship team, and MVP of the 1987 Orange Bowl.
    • Dick Vitale, college basketball's top analyst and ambassador, joined ESPN during the 1979-80 season - just after the network's September 1979 launch - following a successful college and pro coaching career.
    • Andy Andrews - What could this one man possibly have to say that is important enough for the Commander of the Allied Air Forces to ask his help? Why did every senior leader the United States Air Force has in Europe and the Middle East recently assemble in one room - at one time - to listen?.
    • Valorie Burton - A sought-after life coach, speaker, and author, Valorie Burton is a professional certified coach (PCC) who coaches entrepreneurs and professionals seeking a more purposeful path. Her weekly e-newsletter inspires thousands of subscribers.
    • Dan Cathy - As president of one of the nation's largest family owned businesses, Dan Cathy represents the next generation of leadership for the Atlanta-based quick-service chicken restaurant chain founded by his father S. Truett Cathy. Eager to incorporate his own skills and talents into the business, Dan has taken an unconventional, yet personally and professionally rewarding approach to Chick-fil-A leadership. His personal passion is to see the fulfillment of the Chick-fil-A Corporate Purpose: "To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A."

You will leave with the necessary tools to learn from the past and prepare for the future. Nothing you do this year will have a more far-reaching impact on your business and personal performance.
