ILA Leadership Students Honored at Award Ceremonies

Athens, GA—Several students affiliated with the Institute for Leadership Advancement were recognized at the Terry College of Business's Honors Day ceremony on April 2. Honors Day was introduced to give public recognition to students who achieve high scholastic records and demonstrate excellence in their academic endeavors.

Leonard Scholars awarded include: Michael Naghsheineh (Finance Excellence, Delta Sigma Pi and Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges), Elisabeth Bentley (Wall Street Journal), Courtney Johnson (Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges), Robert Thrasher (Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges), Tracy Feldesman (Bank of America Scholarship), Xianwei Hu (Bank of America Scholarship) and Mark Rockett (Bank of America Scholarship). Beta Gamma Sigma inducted William Douglas IV, Muizz Mullani, Elisabeth Bentley, Pamela Chaliff, Patrick Fitzmaurice Jr., Ryan Friday, Anne Karam and Daniel Lowenthal as well.

Certificate students awarded include: Griffin Rice (Management Excellence) and Priscilla Clark (Management Information Systems Excellence and Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges). Sigma Iota Epsilon inducted Kristin Foret. Beta Gamma Sigma inducted Georgia Evert, Michael Sapinski and Griffin Rice as well.

On April 11, Blue Key National Honor Society also initiated leadership students including: Ryan Friday, K. Geales Goodwin, Samuel Gruber, Robert Henry, Anne Karam, Katherine Kellogg, Steven McCord, Emily McGee, Blake Mitchell, Brianna, Randall and Mark Rockett. Blue Key recognizes men and women for their leadership abilities, scholarship and service.
