With continued economic globalization, business leaders need to understand the unique challenges of managing international enterprises. In addition, in today's global environment business leaders increasingly face issues of cultural diversity and a responsibility for global problems.
In response, the ILA is thrilled to offer students in the Leadership Scholars Program and the L.E.A.D. Certificate Program the chance to study business and leadership in Tanzania, Africa. This Maymester experience will provide students a chance to explore current global leadership issues and the activities of international business organizations, focusing on the developing economy of Tanzania. The two courses offered will expose students to the political, economic, social, and cultural realities of Tanzania and its developing economy while increasing students' appreciation of a person's leadership role in a global society.
