One of the missions of the ILA is to support the community in which we operate. Both student programs include a community service component which seeks to give students an understanding that leadership is about enhancing the lives of others, awareness of ethical and social issues, compassion for others, and commitment to civic issues, service, and volunteerism.
Leonard Leadership Scholars Community Service Activities Students in the Leonard Leadership Scholars Program participate in a number of community service activities. These include class service learning projects, the Capstone Service Learning Project, and group as well as individual volunteer projects.
LEAD Students Community Service Activities LEAD students within the Leadership Certificate Program are active in the community through class student learning projects and program-wide community service events.
