2010 Risk and Insurance Careers Day
The Classic Center
Athens, GA
February 2, 2010
3:30 pm - 6:30 pm
The Risk and Insurance Careers Day will be held on the afternoon of February 2 with displays by the companies and will be followed by a brief reception. This is a wonderful time for students to network and converse informally with company representatives.
This event provides an opportunity for employers to meet and interview many highly qualified students seeking employment within the insurance, risk management, and employee benefits communities. As you may be aware, the University of Georgia's undergraduate program in risk and insurance is the largest in the country. This year, we expect approximately 120 seniors to actively participate in our Careers Day program. We also have 15 to 20 MBA students who will graduate next May, and a number of juniors and seniors who are seeking internships.

Student Information
Each year the Insurance Society and Gamma Iota Sigma jointly sponsor a Careers Day attended by numerous employers seeking candidates for insurance and risk management positions. 2010 Careers Day is being held at The Classic Center in Athens. Company displays run from 3:30 to 6:30 pm in the convention center and will conclude with a brief reception.
Students should attend the company display time and reception every year if they are majors within the department. They should take full advantage of the opportunity to meet with company representatives on-site at UGA by scheduling several interviews for the following days. Many companies limit their interviews only to seniors, although many will also interview juniors seeking summer internships.
