Risk Management and Insurance Program
The Terry College’s risk management-insurance program traces its formal beginning to 1965, and in a short period of time it has grown into the largest undergraduate program of its kind in the U.S.
Terry’s risk management-insurance program is also one of the very best, having risen to the No. 2 spot in the country behind Wharton in current rankings from U.S. News & World Report.
Terry’s Risk Management and Insurance Program emphasizes the importance of career placement for its students, making it a top priority. Each year, the department hosts its own Risk & Insurance Careers Day featuring a variety of industry employers looking to hire students for full-time and internship positions. Program Highlight
Students Travel to Bermuda
For the second year in a row Professor Jenny Atkinson took qualified students to Bermuda over Spring Break to explore the international insurance market. This year seven students were selected and given the opportunity to expand their knowledge by meeting directly with senior professionals from a variety of insurance firms. These students learned how the marketplace in Bermuda operates and just how important it is to insurance overall.
