*If the return date will cause you to miss the first day of a class, a letter of explanation can be provided to your professor(s) from the Studies Abroad in the South Pacific & Caribbean office. It is highly suggested that you take initiative to contact the professor(s) also, in advance, to request the course syllabus or any other important information you may miss on the 7th.

Like many of our other programs, students will travel extensively (~70% of the time) as a group with UGA instructors and local field experts.

Accommodations:
Accomodations in all places for students are in dorm style multi-bedded rooms (2/4/6 sharing per room -
varies from place to place) in business style or backpacker style accomodations.
Cost:
Estimated price for 2007 program: $2595 (this excludes tuition and airfare). Associated excursions and
activities are also included in the program fee, and may include things like glacier hiking, dolphin swims, and
sea kayaking. This program is open to all students of any major, at all levels of study. All students (regardless
of residency) will receive UGA in-state tuition for study abroad.
Application Process:
Applications will be due by October 15, 2007 but will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Please apply
early as the program will most likely fill before the deadline.
