Membership
The International Business Society provides an opportunity for students with an interest in international business issues to take part in social, educational, and community based activities. IBS meetings allow students to meet people with firsthand experience in international topics.
Membership is open to all Terry College students and dues, $20/semester or $30/year, support these important activities.
To become a member, contact the IB Advisor or IBS Treasurer. Cash or checks accepted. Make checks payable to International Business Society.
Officers
Every Spring semester, society officers are elected by secret ballot. To apply for an officer position, contact Sally Vandiver.
President
- Plans meetings, works with all officers to secure speakers
- In charge of Terry Cup softball tournament
- Plans meetings twice monthly with officers to plan for IBS meetings (refreshments, advertising, etc.)
Vice President
- In charge of arranging refreshments for meetings
- In charge of photos for events
- In charge of arranging meeting space
Secretary
- In charge of advertising meetings
- Maintianing IBS list-serve
- Take minutes of meetings and post on website
Treasurer
- Request reimbursements in timely manner
- Keep up with IB budget
- In charge of fund raiser to replenish money in IB checking account
- Collect dues
- In charge of money for the Terry Cup
- Fill out forms for student activities requesting funds for the following year
- The treasurer will be the only person other than Sally allowed to write a check (which means they will have to be at meetings if we are having pizza).
