Housed under the Coca-Cola Center for International Business, International Business (IB) Programs is not a department, but rather an interdisciplinary initiative to offer an undergraduate degree in International Business and a range of study abroad and exchange programs for undergraduates and MBA students.
IB Programs is overseen by a Faculty Director and IB Committee, which draws faculty from the seven departments of the college. In addition, a Senior Executive International Business Lecturer provides the program with an industry perspective. For further information, check the Faculty section of our website.
One of the most popular majors in the college, the IB program of study is designed to offer students a flexible tripartite curriculum which immerses students in business practices that are unique to conducting business across national boundaries. Students gain an in-depth understanding of the international business arena and the means of competing in a multi-cultural global environment. For further information, check the Students section of our website.
By participating in a Terry Abroad program, students can further develop their expertise, strengthen their resumes, earn credits toward their degree, and tour international companies and cultural sites they may not otherwise have access to, making these programs unique and valuable. There is a range of international locations to choose from, with price tags for almost every budget. For further information, check the Study Abroad section of our website.
IB majors also have a way to socialize and network with each other and with IB alumni and friends through the International Business Society. For further information, check the IB Society section of our website.
Graduates of IB Programs are a constant source of support to our students and to the growth and direction of the program as a whole. We welcome the feedback of our alumni through our on-line Survey, but more importantly, we welcome them to share their stories of successes and challenges out in the "real world" along with any opportunities their companies might offer to IB students, such as internships and tours of operations abroad. New to IB Programs is alumNEWS, a bi-annual publication for our alumni and friends. For more information and ways alumni can help IB Programs, check the Alumni section of our website.
