Admissions/Application Process
The Terry College of Business has moved to an upper division program that enrolls only third- and fourth-year students. All new UGA students who plan to pursue the BBA degree will be admitted to the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences as "pre-business majors." For most students, application to enter Terry (that is, to enter a Terry major ) will occur in the second semester of their second (sophomore) year.
Students who plan to enter Terry majors will apply and be evaluated for admission based on selection criteria specific to the desired major. Students already admitted to their majors do not have to re-apply.
Students must meet the following eligibility criteria in order to apply for admission to a Terry BBA major:
- Be enrolled at UGA
- Earn 2.6 overall grade point average
- Be in academic good standing (at least 2.0 cumulative GPA)
- Earn 60 hours overall*
- Complete BBA Core Curriculum A-F*
Acceptance to majors in the Terry College of Business is contingent upon successful completion of course work in which you are currently enrolled. That is, if you do not complete courses to fulfill 60 hours, Areas A-F of the Core Curriculum, and maintain a 2.6 overall GPA an 2.00 UGA GPA, you will not be permitted to take major courses and may be required to reapply.
*Students may apply if they are enrolled in course work that fulfills these outstanding requirements. Acceptance in the major is contingent on satisfactory completion of in-progress work.
