Tuition Assistance and Financial Aid
To help you in your quest to enhance your professional skills and career, Executive Programs at the UGA Terry College of Business has identified several resources and options for tuition assistance and financial aid.
Personal Loans
We encourage prospective participants to search online using the terms "private student loans" and "continuing education loans," to learn more about lending providers, processes and requirements. If you do not own a personal computer or have Internet access, your local library may offer these services for free.
Please contact our office if you have specific questions about how our programs might qualify.
Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Funding
You may be eligible for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding. Eligibility requirements for training services vary across counties and states, and are based on local workforce needs.
Executive Programs at the UGA Terry College of Business that are currently approved for WIA funding include:
A wide range of free services and information on WIA funding are available to job seekers at One-Stop Career Centers offered by the United States Government Department of Labor. Services include job search assistance and job matching, labor market information about high-demand jobs and salary ranges, help in exploring training and education opportunities, and financial aid application assistance.
To determine eligibility for WIA education funding you must work directly with a career counselor from the One-Stop Career Center where employment will be sought. Locate and contact the One-Stop Career Center in your area. Career counselors are available to support the following needs:
- Exploring careers and assessing skills, abilities and interests
- Learning about specialized services for persons who are laid off, persons with disabilities, and older workers
- Addressing special needs or circumstances that make it hard to get or keep a job
- Putting together a financial aid strategy to help meet the expenses of education and training
- Arranging support services such as childcare or transportation while attending school or working
If you're interested in funding for a program not listed above, there may be alternative funding options available.
