Business Analysis Certificate Program

Program Overview

The Terry College/Advanced Strategies Comprehensive Business Analysis Certificate Program will help your organization:

  • Increase revenue by optimizing processes and technology to create new value and services.
    • The methods taught through this program apply to a broad array of business problems, including information technology issues.
    • Graduates will be able to implement and adapt what they learn to their unique situations.
    • Learn to use a structured and intellectually manageable approach to analysis so that new processes leverage the past, capitalize on new opportunities and are optimized for the desired business results.
  • Reduce costs by reducing waste: wasted time, wasted resources, mistakes and re-work.
    • Recognize when not to continue a project.
    • "Measure twice, cut once." Changes or errors get more costly the further along you go. Spend the resources at the beginning to get it right.
    • Take the time and know how to figure out the right projects and then do the analysis you need.
  • Increase return on investment for the business on critical projects by:
    • Choosing the right projects based on business strategy and a strong business case.
    • Performing the right type and amount of analysis up front, reducing errors and rework later.
    • Contributing to the standardization of analysis methods and defining metrics to evaluate return.
  • Retain key performers by investing in their growth
    • Foster growth in all dimensions of learning: comprehension (what), dexterity (how), and illumination (why) for comprehensive understanding.
    • As they learn and apply practitioner skills, there will be a noticeable increase in competence, confidence and job satisfaction.
    • Transform employees from "order takers" to business-driven, customer-centric professional analysts.
  • Get everyone on the "same page"
    • Unite in common goals and break down barriers and silos.
    • People working at many different levels will learn to use common methods and vocabulary.
    • Guided by a set of shared principles and premises, analysts, managers and executives will have a common approach to business transformation initiatives and conducting business in general.
