Institute for Leadership Advancement (ILA) in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia offers two undergraduate leadership programs focused on the development of servant leadership competencies: The Certificate in Personal and Organizational Leadership (for students in any major) and the Leonard Leadership Scholars Program (for Terry College majors). These programs aim to create a new class of leaders who are well trained and ready for responsibility, committed to stewardship, pursuers of excellence, characterized by integrity, and defined by purpose.

About Kevin Marsh

Kevin Marsh’s career with SCANA started when he joined South Carolina Electric & Gas Company, SCANA’s principal subsidiary, in 1984 as group manager for technical accounting. Five years later, the Terry College alumnus was named vice president and controller. Since then he has served in the capacity of vice president of corporate planning of SCE&G and vice president of finance, treasurer and controller of SCANA Corporation.

In 1996, Marsh was named vice president and chief financial officer of SCANA and became senior vice president in 1998. In addition to his duties as SCANA’s CFO, from October 2001 to March 2003, he served as president and chief operating officer of PSNC Energy, SCANA’s natural gas distribution company headquartered in Gastonia, N.C. He became president of SCE&G in 2006 and president and chief operating officer of SCANA Corporation in January 2011. He assumed responsibilities as chairman and CEO in December 2011. Prior to his career at SCANA he worked at Deloitte & Touche Certified Public Accountants in Columbia, S.C., for seven years.

Marsh is a board member of First Citizens Bancorporation of South Carolina, Epworth Children’s Home, Citizens for Sound Conservation. He is a native of Atlanta and earned a bachelors of business administration degree in accounting from the University of Georgia. He and his wife are members of Grace United Methodist Church of Columbia, S.C. They have two daughters and two grandchildren.
