    Mike Pfarrer is an Associate Professor of Management in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. He teaches strategic management to undergraduates, executives, MBAs, and Ph.D. students. Mike’s research focuses on corporate reputation, crisis management, and the business press. He is a research fellow at the Oxford University Centre for Corporate Reputation and an Associate Editor at the Academy of Management Review.

    Prior to pursuing an academic career, Mike worked as an investment consultant, language school director, and baseball player and coach in both the U.S. and in Austria. He enjoys traveling to Europe and speaking German to anyone who’ll listen. Mike and his family live in west Athens.

We will cover some of the best options for getting the credits you need, reveal some of the mystery about transfer credits, and talk about the credits you need in order to enter the program. Specifically, we will talk about eCore, USG institutions, Online Courses, UGA Admissions, and General Education Requirements.

    Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) is a student organization with an associated class that offers students the unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the financial markets, learn investment analysis and financial modeling, get hands-on investment experience, and develop relationships with some of the brightest students in the Terry College of Business and receive the training necessary to obtain offers to top internships and full-time positions. SMIF manages an equity portfolio of over $370,000 through a long-only, value-oriented strategy aimed at outperforming their benchmark, the S&P 500 Index. Applications close on March 27 and April 3 for rising seniors and rising juniors or recent finance admits, respectively.
