Join the Terry Undergraduate Student Services and Corporate Relations (USSCR) Office and the UGA Career Center on January 11th for the spring kickoff of Terry’s Business Ready Initiative! This initiative is committed to providing foundational soft skills and professionalism that give Terry students an edge in preparation for recruitment and other networking opportunities. By enrolling in the Business Ready Initiative, students agree to complete a series of foundational and elective requirements in pursuit of their Business Ready Designation. The initiative is open to all Terry students, but intended-business students are especially encouraged to attend. See the link below to learn more about this program!
After hearing information from USSCR about the Business Ready Initiative, the UGA Career Center will present an Elevator Pitch Workshop, designed to prepare you for networking opportunities and the upcoming Career and Internship Fair on January 31. What is an elevator pitch? It's a short (30-90 seconds), well-crafted speech that you can use to introduce yourself and "sell yourself" to recruiters. Attend this workshop to perfect your pitch and make sure you are ready to approach employers at the Fair!
Suggested dress is business casual. A meal will be provided for registered guests.
This event is sponsored by The Office of Undergraduate Student Services and Corporate Relations (USSCR). Drop by our office at A110, Moore-Rooker Hall to learn about more opportunities to get involved and grow your Terry network. Note: If you're already enrolled in the Business Ready Initiative, this event CAN count as an elective- as long as you're not counting the Fall Kickoff as an elective.
