Connie is a 1984 graduate from the University of Georgia with a BS in Management Information Systems. Her career started as a software engineer at Management Science America where she worked for 10 years. MSA was a leading provider of Enterprise Resource Planning software to businesses. During her ten years at MSA she held roles in R&D, product management, support, sales and product marketing in addition to learning a lot about what it takes to make it in the business world.
Most recently Connie spent 21 years at Sage, a global provider of business management software/services to businesses of all sizes. She spent most of that time as a commercial leader responsible for strategy creation and execution with the goal of driving business growth, high customer loyalty and employee engagement. When Connie left Sage in July, 2017 she was the Executive Vice President, Managing Director for the Sage US business responsible for >$400m in revenue.
Connie was an honoree in the Women in Technology “Woman of the Year” program and received recognition as one of the most “Influential Women in Technology” by WebCPA. She is known as a thought leader in the small business segment with many published articles. See below for more info.
She credits her time at UGA and Terry College with giving her the foundation to succeed in the technology industry and is excited about sharing her experiences with other Terry students.
