Georgia’s flagship business school, founded in 1912

Social Entrepreneurship

The future of the world lies in the hands of the market-based social entrepreneurs.”

Muhammad Yunus,
2006 Nobel Peace Prize recipient

Entrepreneurs solve problems and attack them with vigor. Social problems need the help of entrepreneurs. Therefore, social entrepreneurship is an essential part of the Terry College of Business Entrepreneurship program.

Social entrepreneurs are people who take entrepreneurship principles and an entrepreneurial mindset to solve society's most pressing social problems. The Terry College of Business Entrepreneurship program helps students find opportunities to create and develop businesses designed to help remedy a social problem while being self-sustaining financially. Typical business owners measure their success by the amount of profit generated; social entrepreneurs measure their success by how big of an impact they make in bringing about social change.
