Terry College of Business

Georgia’s flagship business school, founded in 1912

Program Highlights

The Terry College of Business Entrepreneurship program hosts an event for aspiring and/or existing entrepreneurs at least once a week. This aggressive schedule and pace prevents us from providing a comprehensive list of all activities. While we get noticed for the multitude of seminars and events around the southeast, this is not our goal. The highlighted activities below are designed with a single objective — to launch successful businesses that give back to the college, the university, and the state.

Please do not hesitate to contact us any time about our program. Entrepreneurship program director Chris Hanks looks forward to speaking with you. Follow him on Twitter @ChrisHanks, and receive our latest program updates @UGAentrepreneur.

UGA’s Next Top Entrepreneur

UGA’s Next Top Entrepreneur

A campus-wide contest for a $500 prize and a possible $100,000 in venture and angel investment capital, the fourth annual UGA's Next Top Entrepreneur will officially start on January 26, 2012 by submitting a one-page PDF business plan. Info Sessions and Training Seminars will begin November 3, 2011. The event is both a competition and a seminar series lasting throughout the Spring and is open to all UGA students. Competitors participate in a series of challenges, seminars, and individual coaching sessions focused on starting a business. Our first year resulted in eight businesses launched, $212,000 of actual revenue, and an angel round of funding, all covered by CNN.
