Department of Economics

Economics faculty and student
Professor Myra L. Moore reviews public economics with students.

As part of its mission, the University of Georgia “endeavors to prepare the university community and the state for full participation in the global society of the 21st century.” The Department of Economics plays a vital role in this mission in two important ways. AB or BBA?

See the degrees side-by-side

Starting fall semester 2013, economics majors pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree will transition from UGA’s Franklin College of Arts and Sciences to the Terry College of Business. AB econ majors have long been a part of Terry’s classes, but Franklin College has conferred their degrees. This change means that students pursuing an AB econ degree will now have full access to all Terry College student services, career services, and invitations to all Terry events.
