This exciting event is open to current UGA students and will feature the UGA’s Top Talent Contest. The goal of this event is to provide freshman and sophomore students with professional development training and skills, as well as gain valuable exposure to business professionals and learn how to build relationships and network. This event highlights the excellent career opportunities a business education can provide.

UGA’s Top Talent

February 11, 2013, 9am–1pm

You could be one of ten or more UGA freshmen and sophomores that go home with a paid internship or company sponsored leadership opportunity. All winners will receive a $25 award.

UGA’s top talent competition gave me the confidence and networking opportunities to succeed. As a winner of the competition, I was awarded an interview for an accounting leadership conference which has now resulted in an internship. Through the contest, I was able to build great relationships with many firms and companies. Participating in the Top Talent Contest not only opened doors and initiated relationships with recruiters, but also it introduced me to new peers while increasing my confidence in my abilities to succeed in the business world.

Margaret Patton, BBA — Accounting, 2014
Leonard Leadership Scholar
President — Sigma Alpha Omega Sorority Inc.

The Top Talent contest gave me the opportunity to meet new people from companies that I hadn’t previously recruited with and to strengthen my relationship with the companies in which I had a previous interest. Those relationships eventually led to multiple internship offers by the end of the year.

Mayesha Manzoor, BBA — Management Information Systems, 2014
MIS Advisory Board
Teaching Assistant, MIST 2090
