Biography

Tim Samples is an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies at the Terry College of Business. His research focuses on legal issues affecting international investment, including sovereign debt and frameworks for energy investments. His recent publications have addressed Argentina's sovereign debt disputes and Mexico's energy reform.

Samples has been quoted by media outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Bloomberg, Los Angeles Times, and BBC Mundo, and has also appeared on CNN en Español and National Public Radio.

He is fluent in Spanish and proficient in Portuguese.
