Biography

Mary Elizabeth is from Mobile, Alabama. She earned her bachelor's degree in Finance from The University of Alabama in 2006 and her MBA in Financial Risk and Strategy from The University of Alabama in 2008. She came to UGA in 2008 and expects to receive her PhD in May of 2013. She has worked in London for a not-for-profit foundation encouraging socially responsible investing by UK pension funds and in Washington, DC for FINRA (formerly NASD) as an investigative intern in the Enforcement department. Her research interests include corporate finance and employee compensation, with a special focus on employer-provided pension plans and the inter-relation between various types of employee compensation within a firm.
