Ronald S. Swift is an internationally known advisor, consultant, author, luminary, educator and management strategist in the areas of Marketing, Customer Relationship Management, Analytical Systems, Business Performance Management, Enterprise Business Intelligence, Service Excellence, and Integrated Customer Sales and Services for Electronic (WEB) Commerce.
For more than 40 years, Swift has assisted hundreds of clients on six continents to achieve their strategies and goals. He is a popular and thought-provoking speaker at many conferences, seminars, workshops, and universities throughout the world.
Swift recently retired from The Teradata Corporation where he spearheaded numerous branding, marketing, communications, strategic and client projects programs since 1996. Prior to those positions, he was a senior partner with an International Consulting firm, following a successful 22-year career at IBM. At IBM, his contributions included field and headquarters responsibilities that spanned many customer implementation projects, marketing programs, teaching positions, educational development, and marketing functions for end-user computing, decision support, executive information systems, MIS and Business Intelligence, along with strategy and business development roles in the USA and Europe. He has held management level positions at IBM, AT&T, NCR, and Teradata.
His business and professional experiences cross numerous industries including Banking, Financial Services, Retailing, E-Commerce, Transport, Wireline and Mobile Communications, Airlines, Gaming, Hospitality, Railroads, and Government. Mr. Swift’s contributions also include many years of guest lecturing in graduate, management, and professional educational programs. He has also taught over two hundred lectures in leading universities and graduate schools such as UGA’s Terry College of Business, Duke’s Fuqua, UPenn’s Wharton, NWU’s Kellogg, NYU, The Management School at St. Gallen Switzerland, Germany’s Augsburg University, IPADE in Mexico, and numerous other universities in Europe and Asia. In October 2002, Mr. Swift was awarded the position of Life Senior Executive Lecturer at the University of Georgia's Terry College of Business. He has lectured at UGA for over 20 years. He is now an “Executive-In-Residence” at UGA.
Swift is the author of, Accelerating Customer Relationships, published by Prentice-Hall PTR and is currently working on another book about customer value, loyalty, and services through detailed analytics. In addition, he has authored a wide variety of articles for numerous professional publications. He also hosted a managerial blog on Business Intelligence from 2008 to 2011.
