ECON 8090: Research Methods in Economics
Practical issues in conducting applied economic research. Topics include choosing dissertation/research topics; data sources and methods; presenting, publishing, and refereeing research papers and critical analysis of the literature. Students are required to write and present a research paper to the department in partial fulfillment of the course requirements. Offered spring semester every year.
Prerequisite: ECON 8010 and ECON 8070 and ECON 8080.
