Aims and Scope:

The SIGLead Conference is aimed at fostering a forum of collaboration and intellectual exchange for IS scholars engaged in IS Leadership research.  IS leadership is broadly defined to include research on IS leaders such as CIOs, CKOs, and CTOs, research on technological leadership in organizations, as well as research on IS governance.
Though articles on IS Leadership abound in the practitioner press, much less attention has been devoted to the topic from an academic perspective.  The motivation for the SIGLead Conference is to bring together a group of IS Leadership researchers to share their research, engage in exchange of perspectives, and encourage future collaborations.

The conference will comprise presentations around peer-reviewed submissions as well as invited presentations by thought leaders both from industry and from academia.

Topics

The conference seeks to explore the various dimensions, theoretical bases, and perspectives on IS leadership and to advance the state of scholarship on the issue. Conceptual and empirical papers employing both qualitative and quantitative methods are welcome.  Topics include, but are not limited to:

CIO Research

IS Technological Leadership

IT Governance

Submission Guidelines

Conceptual and empirical papers utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods are welcome.  Papers should be about 4000 words in length, tables and figures included.  Submissions should be sent as email Word file attachments to Sheryl Doll by June 23, 2006.
