Dr. Danielsen is an independent consultant and has served as Director of the James C. Bonbright Public Utilities Center, since its inception. He has directed conferences and seminars through the University of Georgia and independently since 1980. He has also bee Senior Consultant to the Arthur Andersen Global Energy Consulting Group (1996-1999).

Dr. Danielsen has published books and professional journal articles related to market structure, regulation, long–term contracting and strategic pricing. His books include The Evolution of OPEC (1982), Current Issues In Public Utility Economics: Essays in Honor of James C. Bonbright (1983), Telecommunications in the Post-Divestiture Era (1986), and Principles of Public Utility Rates, (1988) (co–authored with James C. Bonbright and David R. Kamerschen). He consults on matters related to industry structure and performance, regulation, transaction costs and contracting within and between organizations, and issues related to the pricing of natural gas and electric power.

He is listed in Who's Who in Economics, 2nd & 3rd ed., which are compilations of the top six percent of economists of all time as measured by the frequency with which their work is currently cited by other social scientists. Dr. Danielsen is also listed in a number of Marquis Who's Who publications and other biographical reference books. He consults exclusively with Arthur Andersen, L.L.P and the James C.
