Staff Representative Group
JUNE 11, 2003 The Terry College of Business Staff Representative Group met Wednesday, June 11, 2003 at 8:30 in 327 Brooks Hall.
Members present: Maybe Mary Myrick has the list we signed.
In the scheduled absence of Sally Vandiver, the meeting was called to order by Mary Myrick. There were no corrections or additions to the minutes from the previous meeting.
Elizabeth Pape gave a report of the Staff Council meeting. (Elizabeth, please elaborate if you wish)…..
Since Parking Services has installed a gate behind Brooks Hall, passengers can no longer be dropped off in the circle area. A discussion of an alternative and relatively safe solution would be to drop off at the Library parking lot. A reminder from Stan to secure a pass from him if delivery is needed behind Brooks Hall.
A member of the Baps Committee was present to discuss if the Committee members should find replacements for themselves when current members resigned and the SRG agreed. But also was told to let us know if they had a problem if finding a replacement. Also, it was discussed there was no time line for serving on the Baps Committee. The Baps Committee should feel free to contact SRG members when set up and clean up is needed for their luncheons, etc. It was suggested they could also e-mail staff for volunteers when needed.
It was voted upon and approved unanimously to not meet in July (as stated in the by-laws). We will take an official vote later to see if we need to meet in January. If a situation arrives which makes it necessary to meet in July, we will respond accordingly.
Stan Johnson said Logistics will receive new copiers in the near future. He will send an e-mail notice when they become available and also conduct orientation sessions on these copiers.
