Sally reviewed the Staff Council meeting. The following items were highlights:
• The new classifications are still going forward. We should be hearing about them soon.
• There is a way to buy “air time” toward retirement. You can buy up to 3 years airtime after 25 years of service. This is on the trs website http://www.trsga.com/active/default.asp
• Discussion about job losses were brought forward. It was felt that there would be no more job losses in the near future.
New business items included the possibility of SRG doing some type of community relations. Sally asked for nominations for the SRG president, and reminded everyone about Dean Benson’s talk with the Terry Staff May 18th at 10:00 in Sanford 312. There being no further business, the meeting was adjorned at 9:20 am.
